Hello, everyone,

It’s now been three days since the catastrophe in Haiti. Many people with family and friends there are extremely worried: they’re anxiously awaiting news about their loved ones, and my thoughts are with them.

We cannot remain indifferent when faced with a dramatic situation of this magnitude. At times like these, we realize how fortunate we are. I am amazed at how quickly people have heeded the call to help the disaster victims. Around the world, organizations of all kinds are mobilizing to come to Haiti’s aid.
