Hi everyone,

This weekend, I went to see the synchronized swimming competition at the Olympic pool in Montreal. It was the 4^th FINA World Trophy where the 10 best teams in the world competed. Last year, in 2008, Canada came in fourth.

The atmosphere was really amazing! The crowd really participated and encouraged the swimmers. Result: Canada won the trophy! What a feat, they finished ahead of Russia. The Russian team is very strong but our swimmers really performed. I’m sure your encouragements helped them step on the top of the podium. For an athlete, it’s always amazing to be able to compete at home in front of your own crowd.

I love seeing Canada win, it always inspires me and gives me the energy to work even harder when I train.
