January 30, 2009: McDonald's video shoot

Hi, everyone,

I’ve just returned from Jean Drapeau Park, where I took part in taping a video for McDonald's as ambassador for the 2010 Hopefuls program.

The Vancouver Olympics are now one year away, and McDonald's will be posting a video on YouTube to present all of its Olympic programs. The concept is really a lot of fun! I’ll give you the link to watch the video once it’s online. I won’t say any more so it’ll be a surprise!

That makes me think of the 26 athletes who are members of the 2010 Hopefuls program! In one year, they might be at the Games in Vancouver. I know that the year leading up to the Olympics is very important. It is often these results that make the difference between whether or not you go to the Games. I also know that it’s a time when you need a lot of support, especially from your family. In any case, I’ll be thinking of them and hope they’ll be able to live their dream of going to the Olympics.

See you soon!

Alex
