This morning we left Montreal for Beijing. We will fly first to Toronto and then take a 13-hour flight to Beijing. At the airport, we met a member of Alex’s website team. They shot a short video of us just before we departed. You will be able to see this video tomorrow.

We are feeling so many different emotions: we are thrilled, excited, anxious and happy! The Olympics are intense! This morning, we saw a bit of the Olympic opening ceremony on television. It looks like it was an amazing show! It’s too bad we didn’t get to see Alex.

As of this moment we are somewhere over the Pacific Ocean. Come back here to learn more about our Olympic experience over the coming days.
