August 17, 2008: A 4th place for Blythe Hartley

At the end of the Women’s 3m event final, Canadian Blythe Hartley finished 4th behind two Chinese athletes and a Russian. It was her best performance at the Olympic Games. Blythe was participating in her third Olympic Games and it was her last competition because she is retiring.

The Men’s 3m springboard event starts tomorrow morning in Beijing. First there will be a preliminary session, then the 18 best divers will pass to the semi-finals, and the 12 best divers will go on to the finals from there. We will be following all the excitement for you!
